PAGE 4 fCXIPPJftOWAJtD An Expert Speaks. This unAmerican form of government takes the right of the people to govern them selves away from them. It is LieutenantGovernor Edgar A Bush talking to a Republican club and he added with gusto that he would give it a stinging blow between the eyes if he has anything to do with its consideration before the legislature. As to the propriety of the presiding offiqer of the senate uttering such threats at such a time let those who will make comment Asa presiding officer no one would expect other wise from Bush Nor would the most imagina tive qualify him as an expert in his official capacity.

But when he describes anything as unAmer ican Bush has a record on which he might reasonably hope to qualify as an expert fitness. He made that record at Kansas City as re cently as last June when he appeared during the Republican national contention as the leader of patriots. He stood it will be remembered on a soap box before the convention hall. He was then saving the country from other unAmerican perils.

In his hand was a British flag which he waved with a fervor.
