DECLARES FEELING i OF PANIC ABSENT Tire Firm Executive Says Business Outlook Con tinues Bright AKRON Ohio March 22A year go tho business man of this country Was panicky looking for the ghost of depression. It took almost nothing to stampede the country and put it into a backward frame of mind from the business standpoint. But today the rank and tile of business does not feel panicky. So declared E Cl Wilmcr chairman of the board of directors of the Good year Tire and Rubber Company in an address before 300 members of the East Akron Board of Trade.

Today business men and industries are operating on normal require ments to a greater degree than for years past and out of that has come the stability and progress and peace of mind that the country as a whole has today he continued Substantiating his statements. Mr Wilmer gave figures to show that improvement in business since the depression in 1920 has been gradual 1 but effective pointing out that 1 hough building suffered a temporal setback in the early part of 1923 it made good gains over the year pre vious and stands in a normal posi tion today.
